Overview
The CAPToR Symposium is the center’s flagship annual event, bringing together leading voices in pain research from across the country. Designed as a full-day scientific gathering, the symposium creates space for keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking that support collaboration and highlight advances in non-addictive pain therapeutics.
Held at the University of Florida, the symposium showcases CAPToR’s interdisciplinary research environment and reflects the center’s commitment to advancing both human and veterinary pain management through collaborative discovery. It also provides an opportunity for faculty, collaborators, and invited guests to share progress, exchange ideas, and identify new directions for research and partnership.
Purpose and Impact
The symposium is more than a standalone event. It is a central expression of CAPToR’s mission to convene expertise across scientific disciplines and accelerate the development of safer, more effective approaches to pain treatment. By bringing together researchers, clinicians, and trainees, the symposium supports knowledge exchange while helping strengthen CAPToR’s growing research community.
